(1) This sucks. Casey's the only reasonable choice.

How about Flip Saunders? Any reason he is not on the list?

If the Bulls didn't look pathetic enough playing out the string
last season, then they have hit rock bottom now. They had from
Christmas to get a good idea who they wanted to target for the
job. It's now been two months and Pax and Reinsdorf look like
complete dunderheads. Are they waiting until after The Finals
are completed to attempt to contact Phil Jackson? ARGH!
This is the same kind of slow-witted idiocy that has prevented
the Bulls from making any major personnel changes. The Bulls
aren't going anywhere but the middle of the pack (if even that
far) as long as Paxon is the GM.

What the hell is with Reinsdorf suddenly realising that business and friends
don't mix? If he really thinks so, why the media circus around a possible
Collins return at all? And call me crazy, but wouldn't it make sense that
all of his friends are in the business? That's bullshit and a complete
cop-out that screams "I didn't get the best man for the job so here's my
shitty excuse".
Reinsdorf: "But Doug is the brightest basketball mind that I knew. He's
brilliant. The man is brilliant."
Well, good decision then.

Could it be that Paxson isn't long for the job?
This is the second candidate that he (according to the press, which is all
the information I have) really wanted - and the second that didn't turn out,
by most accounts because of Reinsdorf.
How many of the non-trades that could have been made were not made because of
Paxson or because of Reinsdorf?
Hate to say it, but I'm starting to agree with Marrioti - Reinsdorf is as
much of the problem as Krause was - 10 years after Jordan and only 2 play-off
seasons and no sense that a plan is in place now. I'm not sure we know how
good Paxson is or could be.

This what I'm feeling. I don't think there is a man alive that could
actually GM this team without Reinsdorf poisoning his decisions. And
like you said, the last 12 months of a whole lotta nothing going on
personnel wise could be a handcuffed Paxson just saying "Yes sir" to
a clueless dolt millionaire. If true, I can't see Pax sticking around
much longer, I don't think he could sleep at night knowing he's no
more that a puppet/fall guy for the clueless dolt.
