Assuming Rose is #1

Rose PG
Hinrich SG
Deng SF
Gooden PF
Noah C

Seflosha/Duhon PG
Hughes SG
Nocioni SF
Thomas PF
Gray C

Does this look right to you? With regards to trades that Sashank is
proposing, I think Deng IS the most tradeable asset but you would need
a scoring strong defender in return I think particularly in the East
you need a SF that can defend against LBJ, Paul Pierce, Shawn Marion,
Marvin Williams, T Prince, Hedo, G Wallace, Iguodala, Butler,
Jefferson etc. Lot of SF in the eastern conference that can go inside
and outside....

I also think Duhon increased his value around the league this season
so he could be mixed in to a trade. Gordon is a FA, no?

BTW, Larry Hughes makes as much money as (Melo - $1MM) so it would be
hard to make a deal including those two.

Duhon is a FA - Gordon is restricted.

Switch Sefalosha and Hinrich - I'd start the taller player and better
defender.

Mezza Mezza...Depends on how the units play together etc. But we're
splitting hairs on that one. They would probably share time.

Deng doesn't make much at the moment. Once he signs, he can't be
traded for awhile because of some crazy league rules. So for the
salaries to work I think it would be Deng + something of value (such
as the #1 pick next year) + Hughes (for salary) for Melo + someone
whose salary is close to Deng's.

I'm just talkin out of my ass here because I don't know Deng's
official status.

But I think it's important that the Bulls don't just make one move
this off-season (the #1 pick) -- they need to make several. The team
went bad this season, and not just because of Skiles. It's missing a
killer instinct. Maybe Rose gives us this, but if he does, it's not
next year -- it's three years from now.

We have some nice pieces. We need to bundle a few of them up and trade
them to whichever team is skittish about its superstar. Not merely a
good player (Jason Richardson). Not a guy on the downside of his
career (Iverson). A young hoss who's ready to step up.

Bring in Rose, and then get Heinrich on a plane, a bus, a boat or even
a dogsled out of here. I never want to see this guy in a Bulls uniform
again. Captain...my ass.

A complete failure in the leadership dept.

I'm not so down on Hinrich but the fact that he's not practicing with
the Olympic team this summer because he has a kid on the way has me
bummed. He needs to do *something* to shake himself out of the funk
he's in. Another summer of shooting alone in the gym is not enough.

No. He's got the killer instinct now.

I hope you're right. But not even LeBron was good enough as a rookie
to lead a team to a playoff series victory.

The Bulls have too many good and average players. They need to
consolidate the roster.

PS: Is anyone else finding the new Google Groups catchpas

This is not a one man game. Lebron's team around him was not that
good. Ricky Davis, Damon Jones, Z was injured much of the time as I
recall. The bulls have a decent roster as is if you plug a very good
leader in there.

Borderline...
