"The fascinating documentary series "30 Days" continues with
an installment that has former NFL cornerback Ray Crockett
experiencing life in a wheelchair for a month. Crockett was
a teammate of Mike Utley, who on a fateful play during the
1991 season became paralyzed from the chest down. 10 p.m., FX."

Crockett serves as a reminder that Millen was not the only boneheaded Lions
GM -- the Lions let Crockett go after the 93 season and he went on to start
for years for Denver and win two Super Bowl rings.

That was after the Russ Thomas years who retired in 1989 and died in
1991. To date, I think he was still far worse than Millen has been,
but the gap is narrowing.
