The Rose Award goes to Casey Blake of the Cleveland Indians, who went
three-for-five with seven RBI and scored two runs in a 13-9 win over
the Texas Rangers.
Blake homered twice before Ben Francisco hit a tiebreaking two-run
homer to power the Indians to the win. Francisco's home run in the
seventh inning came on the first pitch by reliever Joaquin Benoit,
breaking an 8-8 tie after the Indians had blown a five-run lead.
