betancourt keeps pitching away and is apparently afraid to come inside
to batters. i thought that was primaily a malady of pitchers who went
to college - pitchers in college never learned to pitch inside beacuse
everybody hit with aluminum bats and could still fight those pitches
off without breaking the bat.

Barry, if you'd watch the team, a one word description would probably
be used to describe them: Nonchalant.

Many people who live in Central Ohio like I do, simply find them too
boring to watch. They are a bad team, which is badly managed, and
seems to not care one iota about the games that they play in.

They are one of the worst teams in MLB.

1B is bad, offensively and defensively.
2B is bad offensively.
SS is bad offensively and defensively.
3B is bad offensively and defensively.
LF is good now with BF.
CF is bad offensively. -->> .254 BA for Sizemore. 41Ks, and 52 hits.
RF is bad offensively.
C is good both offensively and defensively.

BP is bad.
SP is great.

No team speed.
Average defense.

The Mariners, Nationals, Rockies and Padres may be worse.

didn't he recently cost the team a win by letting a ball go through
his legs? he can hit, but he's not a polished defensive player - yet.

few extra base hits. that makes me wonder if someone is storing the
baseballs near an A/C vent or something - chilled baseballs don't
travel as far as warm baseballs.

cabrera and sizemore can steal bases but only if they get on base
*and* it makes sense to steal, i.e. don't try stealing 3B with 2 out,
etc.

Yes, he committed an error. But he's better than JM or DD defensively.

The addition of BF, his production, and the continued losing show,
imho, how deep the problems are with this team. Several additions
with this level of improvement are needed for this team.

I think the whole team is stored near/in an AC vent.
