View Full Version : playing' lets Trade' and we are the GMs
Terraholm 06-10-2008, 12:12 AM Since a center is likely a priority...
How about Prince for Joel Pryzbilla, Martell Webster and the 13th pick?
Trade also works if Martell is replaced by Channing Frye or Jarrett Jack
or Steve Blake ( assuming they need a 2nd PG if Billups was gone).
I doubt anyone else would be considered that Detroit would want.
More unlikely offer Joel Pryzbilla and Travis Outlaw and a 2nd rounder or
two.

Anita Darling 06-10-2008, 07:15 AM In all honesty I wouldn't get rid of Prince or Rip.
Billups and Sheed are the two weak links and disruptors to the throne.
Two post seasons in a row Chauncy has come up short. And Sheed's
numbers, damn, just pitiful. This guy will absolutely lay down at any
given moment.
Six points, four rebounds in a post season attempt at the title run?
NO, he's got to go!

Billups a weak link? What Piston team are you watching? Post season,
Chauncey scored a little over 16 a game, 13th among all guards in the
post season. He dished out 5.5 assists a game, 11th among all guards
in the post season. His 4.67 assist to turnover ratio is 5th among
all guards in the post season. These are hardly the stats of a weak
link. It was Chauncey who scored 29 points in game 6 against Boston,
highest on the team. And this is your weak link? Ridiculous.

Think about it this way: Anita's favorite Pistons of the past few years
were Webber, Milicic and Delfino. So compared to those superstars
(remember how he said we'd be buying Milicic shoes by next year) how could
anyone on the Piston roster compare?

webbie has me convinced the Prince's ugly shot makes him a bad
shooter.......so I am suprised that webbie did not want to trade Prince for
not only a true center but especially for Webster... Webster is a much
better shooter... Unlike Prince he has a very pretty shot... does not go in
quite as often...oh well
Martell does have a better 3 pt average. Since Martell takes more 3s (10
of his 11 ppg come from jumpers) his eFGP is respectable .516 to Prince's
..476 but Webie has also argued that is a 'bogus' stat... so have to go with
'pretty' as my argument.. =)

Anita Darling 06-14-2008, 12:16 AM Allen Iverson at the point.
Rip Hamilton at the two.
Prince at the three.
Maxiell and Dyss split the four.
And Samba, and Ratliff share the one, or we can search the barrel for
another Bill Laimbeer type. Just a guy who can grab some defensive
boards and trigger strong outlet passes.
The trio of Rip, Iverson and Prince is enough alone to promise a trip to
the NBA finals.

They wouldn't be that bad, but we wouldn't be visiting the EC finals
for the 7th time.

Anita Darling 06-15-2008, 06:23 PM That team would be more than a formidable opponent to contend and
dominate the East which isn't weak any longer.
You can't stand pat with the roster you have being that Cleveland,
Boston and others have caught up with you. BTW we never won more than
one championship with the group we had.
Time to part with Chauncy and your boy Sheed.
