View Full Version : Offensive call on Pierce late 3rd qtr.
J Buck 05-31-2008, 04:41 AM As a Celtics fan, I want to say up front the Pistons were a tough
opponent. Despite the fact this series went 6 games and not 7, I think
that's misleading. The Pistons were as tough as the Cavs and the Hawks;
I think Boston just finally learned how to win on the road.
Congratulations on a great run.
Having said that, what do you Pistons fans think of that offensive foul
call on Pierce late in the 3rd quarter? I'm trying to be objective, but
I really don't see that call.

Neither did I. At worst, Pierce moved his pivot foot and could have
been called for a walk. At best, it was a no call. I guess from the
referee's angle, he saw something different than the TV cameras did.

Pierce noticably moved into Rip on that shot, but I didn't think it was
worth the penalty. A no-call if anything would've been sufficient.
