After looking through next season's games, I predict a 9-7 season at best.
I know my crystal ball has a few cracks in it, but I don't see us winning
more than 9 games. Probably more like and 8-8 season.

You're probably right. I doubt the Ravens will tank like last season, but
I think 8-8 is realistic, 9-7 with a couple of lucky breaks. If they do
well in the draft they'll have a better chance of making it to 9-7,
especially if Ogden doesn't retire this year.

I also am hoping for an 8-8 season seeing that as our best possible scenario
with this friggin' schedule.
Anyone else think that Savage has put together one serious AFCN contender ?

Since your question wasn't answered by anyone Drew, I thought I'd
comment on it. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said AFCN
rather than the entire AFC. The Browns still have holes to fill if they
hope to seriously compete for a championship. Unless they can find a
veteran CB to trade for to play opposite Wright, they'll have a hard
time even winning the division. Holly & McDonald wont be enough imo.
Holly has experience and McDonald showed some promise, but that position
needs upgraded. Even though they re-signed Baxter to a one year deal,
he'd probably have to move to safety if he can even play this year.
As a Browns fan I'm happy for the most part with what Savage has done.
The Shaun Rogers trade, and the big contract they gave him could blow up
in their faces, but is worth the risk. When Rogers is motivated he's
shown alot of ability. That's a wait and see situation. Losing Bodden
sucked, but they had to give up more than a 3rd rounder to get Rogers.
Now, can you please tell Ozzie NOT to trade up to draft Matt Ryan.
Thanks!

I see this a a rebuilding year for Baltimore -with a new they get a
break for a year or 2 so the new QB can develop, we can purge
ourselves of some older players and contend again
As for Cleveland, I think Savage has done a good job. I remember
talking to him the year Shaun Rogers was drafted, asking him why
Baltimore did not take him. He always liked Rogers even then and
regretted not taking a chance on him as he had a big injury his senior
year in college (but it not affected his pro career).
