So I see where the airsoft crowd have their own rag. Kind of reminded me
of APG from 20 years ago. Everybody all Rambo'd up with their Kill
Faces on. So is this the successor to the great game of paintball?

No, I don't think so. It really seems to attract a different croud. The hard
core airsofters are all about playing army, and cool looing guns and
uniforms. They try to simulate everything about army life except for blood
and death.

Paintballers seem to be more about adrinaline and smack talk. :(

Indeed.

I only played airsoft once, at the first Skyball they had a demo setup
on the floor...I found it neither fun, nor stimulating. Having someone
point one of those guns at you is too much like real life hold up
simulation to me. I'm not a cop, I'm not a soldier, this is supposed to
be fun.

Remember, we're talking in general here. I've played with many outstanding
paintballers, and spoken to only a few airsofters. I'm sure there are great
guys to play with in both arenas.

I've got nothing against people wanting to play army if that's what they
enjoy. In fact, I've got nothing against smack talkers having a good time
with others that enjoy that part of the game. It's just that I don't enjoy
those things.

I do, however enjoy the adrinaline that paintball brings out. Even though I
haven't played for a while. :(
