Remember when some of the media "experts" were saying the Blazers screwed up
by letting Zach go? I wonder how many of them would admit it now?
Aldridge is incredible & the development he's showing with his interior play
season is going to pay off big next year when Oden is in the paint & LA can
roam a bit more. I think Laurel called him Sheed with a better 'tude, or
something along those lines. He might even be better than that.
Go Blazers !

On the floor I miss him at times. I still think they might have done better
on a trade at that time.
Interesting enough I saw an interview with Roy where he said he was shocked
at the trade and wondered how they would score. Since Roy was supposed to be
the one that asked them to trade Zach and I doubt he would bother to make it
up it surprised me...I also read somewhere a player said they would not
re-sign if Zach stayed. Do not know if that was sometime future intention or
Travis last summer.
Dan you know anything on that?

He is doing nothing that 'Sheed was not more than capable of doing.
LA has a ego better fitted to offense...=) He has a ways to go to match the
other end and 'Sheed's BBall IQ but it really is a very similar game and
that identical fade away high release shot. LA will be shooting 3 pointers
if they let him. That is another difference he is more coachable...

Nope, although it does sound familiar. My guess is it was a future
signee. like Blake or one of the big 2.
I don't think anyone else (travis, martel or joel) has any clout to do
that.

Was not blake they could not even talk to him at that time. Oden was not
drafted yet.
I doubt it was LA and he would have no real leverage if they had waited (but
makes sense on the floor)... and BRoy sounded like he was flat stunned and
worried over the trade and the same can be said for leverage.

Travis' agent might. And he could have been asking what to expect for PT
with Zach and LA there.
He was a restricted FA but could have run up the price if he had gone
shopping.
