At least he can see through Hillary's bullshit. He's a bright kid.
Maybe it will translate into how quickly he picks up the pro game.

I actually was gonna vote for Bradley, but the MoveOn.org democratic
party chose to put OWLGore as their nominee. America's loss.

appeared at a regional conference of "Helping America's Youth" at the

Do you think he'd rather be there, or at some club with a bunch of
young floozies?

I don't understand the Laura Bush bashing that people do but that's
another story.

On katrina refugies in an arena:

ANN CURRY: Do you know the American people are suffering. watching [Iraq]?

LAURA BUSH: Oh, I know that very much, and, believe me, no one suffers more
than their president and I do when we watch this. And certainly the
commander-in-chief who has asked our military to go into harm's way.

AC: What do you think the American people need to know.

LB: Well, I hope they do know the burden of worry that's on his shoulders
every single day for our troops. And I think they do. I think if they don't,
they're not seeing what the real responsibilities of our president are.

AC: It must be hard for you to watch him in this.

LB: It's hard. Of course, it's absolutely hard.

Yeah "bring 'em on"!

I have news... The Bushies do not suffer more than the families of the dead
and wounded.

"If only the little people knew how much we royals suffer."

Barbara Bush: The Bush-Clinton fund is being announced today and it's very,
very important, but we came because we also cared a lot. And I must say we're
overwhelmed with our city of Houston, the county judge, the mayor, the
governor, everybody. Senators, congresswomen and men, all working to see
that Houston takes care of these very needy people, and getting them out
into the world and in jobs and into housing.

Interviewer: What sort of stories are you hearing?

Barbara Bush: What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to
stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. So many of
the people in the arena here were underprivileged, anyway, so this is
working very well for them. Then I've heard unbelievable stories of a mother
with twins that were two weeks old on the bridge for four days.
Unbelievable. But they lived.

Interviewer: Wow. How is it touching you, seeing these people?

Barbara Bush: How is it touching me? The same way it is you or anybody else.
I feel I've cried for weeks. But it was a week ago tomorrow the floods came
and look what Houston's doing.

So what mitigates the bigotry of they were " underprivileged, anyway, so
this is working very well for them" line which she chuckled....

Anyone with an IQ over 25 knows that isn't what how she meant it. To
imply that she was stating she suffers as much or more than the
families of downed soldiers is disingenuous and blinded by hate. I
understand the disenfranchisement that is the Bush administration, and
he is a big disappointment to me as well. But projecting that hatred
on to his wife because she misstated her thoughts is just misguided.
I know that you know that isn't what she intended to say.

Were they not underprivileged? Would you not agree that temporary
housing in Houston is working well compared to the conditions in the
Superdome? I think people automatically think the worst from what
these people say, and try to apply it in a sense that justifies the
hatred, rather than trying to figure out what it is that they are
actually saying. I don't think the Bush family are bigots at all.
They may have some bad political ideas, but bigoted? Don't see it.

I'm willing to give Laura a break as she seems genuinely interested in
humanity, but Babs Sr. is a stone cold bitch who can't be bothered with the
common folk & only spoke about Katrina in an effort to bolster her idiot
offspring's pathetic attempts to come off as someone who gave a shit about
average Americans.

Oh come on...she has got a free pass compared to Hillary as first lady.
Is their really any hate out there for the old school marm?

But if babs was really concerned about the dead and wounded in Iraq maybe
she
should have stuck a stick in her husbands ribs over the massive neglect of
veterans.

Because most were black? There were people there from across the spectrum.

The context was of them staying in texas.

It was a 'let them eat cake' take and there really is no way to spin it.

I said the statement was bigoted. I do not know about her but daddy bush is
anything but bigoted...he even loves the Saudis...And he not only ran the
first gulf war well hr got the arab countries to pay for it...and knew not
to invade Iraq.... the only real problem I have with them is that they
did not believe in abortion...
