Baron Davis traveled to a concert night before TPups game on MLK day? That's
the word from The Rise Guys on Sactoon Radio KHTK. During their discussion
of All Stars reserves the conversation turn to BD, and his apparent
whirlwind trip to see a concert just hours prior to the Warriors early tip
against The Wolves. These actions were the basis of their unanimous
selection of Brandon Roy over BD for an All Star spot.

Ok my take! I've always likened Baron to former Sonic lead guy Gary
Payton. They are both great players, warriors to the end. Yet in the end
guys who will always do the wrong thing when given the opportunity. Payton
ruined two careers; Shawn Kemp and Vin Baker s. How? It seems neither could
hang with Gary's notorious night life antics. Davis' move may well cost the
Warriors the playoffs, inexcusable behavior from your so called team leader.
So as a fan, do we want just entertainment on a game to game basis, or do
we want deep playoff runs from our team? Payton and Kemp gave the Sonics a
great six or seven year run, played in the finals and they were the hip hop
answer to Stockton and Malone. Baron and Company I believe are on the cusp
it of a similar run. The difference is that the balance of power was in the
East in the 1990s The Sonics were a playoff lock year in year out. The
Warriors are no such lock. Making the playoffs and becoming a top three or
four seed means being focused every game. Shame on you Baron Davis, Warrior
fans deserve more for their entertainment dollar.

If the Warriors fail to make the playoffs it will not be because of
anything Baron Davis did or did not do. Their roster has a few flaws
in it at the 4. Also, is the guy supposed to live in a cage? Do you
know what time he got back? What time he went to sleep and woke up?
Geez. The whole team looked like crap that game and Minny played
well. Roy deserves all-star consideration because of his play and the
Blazers play, not by default because Baron Davis is to be penalized.
