2007 OSeW Year-End Awards - Info & Ballot

For well over five years now, with the exception of a Top 25 list in January
of last year, the women of e-wrestling have been subjected to a mere top 5
Woman of the Mid-Year and Woman of the Year awards. I aim to bring that
streak to an end.

And I'm not just talking about doing a Top 25, 50, or 100 list like what has
been done in the past. I'm talking about giving the women the respect they
deserve, with full awards listings in every category - just like the men
get. But there will also be a Top 100 (or more) list to go along with it.

To vote, simply fill out the ballot below, including your name, e-mail
address, and the characters you handle (to help me prevent spammers), and
e-mail it to synthetic67 @ sbcglobal . net (without the spaces inbetween).
For those wondering, you can only vote once. Anybody caught voting more
than once will be removed from the voting process.

You can vote for any character in any fed, and please do. The only
restriction here is that they MUST be female characters, women's feds, feds
with women's divisions, etc. NO exceptions to this rule. If you want to
vote for men, go sign up for the EWRT Year-End awards, which are sure to be

I ask that you all submit up to five entries for each category; but no fewer
than three from at least two separate feds. The minimum requirement is
different for the Top X section, but you'll find more details on that in the
ballot. And on a side note, you don't have to vote in every category, if
you can't think of people to vote for. Also, I strongly urge you NOT to
vote for your own characters. Anyone caught doing so will be removed from
the voting process. If you're a good writer, somebody else will vote for
you. These awards are a way for us to pat our fellow handlers on the back
for a year's worth of hard work.

Voting begins effective immediately, and ends on January 15th of next year.
I will send out periodic reminders of the deadline as it draws closer.

but the reality is, that simply might not happen. So based on the turnout

standard 20 slots for this award like you'd find in the men's awards, I'm
only asking for 15 - with a required minimum of 7 from at least three
separate feds. Any ballot that doesn't submit the required minimum will not
be accepted. Points will be awarded from highest to lowest. So someone who
gets voted #1 will get 15 points, and someone voted #15 will get 1.

THE RACE FOR #1!
Nina Grimsson and Talia Wichzini started things off with Nina in the lead
and Talia close behind. But then as the ballots started coming in, it
became a back and forth race between Nina and Tiger Lily. Marissa Monet and
Myra Benedict then took the lead down the stretch, with all indications
showing that Monet would be the sure-fire winner with Benedict just five
points behind. But thanks to a last minute final ballot, Myra jumped ahead
to secure the #1 spot.
