The Rose Award goes to Carlos Lee of the Houston Astros, who went
three-for-four with four RBI and scored two runs in a 6-1 win over the
Florida Marlins.
Lee hit a two-run homer.

Please stop making these announcements.
If we want to hear 30 second summaries of baseball games, we can read
the papers or web sites, we can watch local stations or ESPN and we
can listen to the radio.
To me, Usenet is for people giving individual opinions or asking
individual questions. Not for stupid announcements like this. I
don't know who gives the Rose Awards, and I couldn't care less. If
you think it's that important, then set up a web site and see who
visits.

We had a web site once, but it resulted in your mother e-mailing us
for dates with various ballplayers. That wasn't too bad, but we
could've done without the nude photos of her.

Wow. Such class. Worthy of its own Rose Award.

Yep. Has all the class of Pete Rose himself...none.
