There was a time, say 15 years ago, that a complaint to an ISP could
actually produce results. Now just about every moron on the planet has a
net connection and there is no way to stop the avalanche of stupidity
that is the modern internet. Unless there is provable evidence of a
serious crime taking place, complaints to our ISP will do basically
nothing to stop it. And even then there is no guarantee. ISPs have their
plates full keeping the connections up and doing the monthly billing.

Google is still pretty active if anyone messes with them. Usenet has become
a bit of a backwater though. GUI's are too ubiquitous....FWIW, I ran an old
stats program on an old PC, WIN 3.1, 33MHz on the fast setting. The current
version of the software takes a second or two to make the calculations at
3+Ghz..the old computer displays the results before you lift your finger
from the mouse when you click on the routine! I wonder what it would be like
at 3GHz?
