Apparently clueless dad - a tenured U of M professor - gave his kid a Mike's Hard Lemonade at a ballgame - claiming he didn't know it was alcoholic. Cops no likey this and put kid into confines of CPS red tape hayul. And normal hijinks and outrage ensue. HOWEVER - me smells that all's no well in Denmark. Such an extreme overreaction for one alcoholic drink? Not buying it....there's something else going on here.... |

I agree that nothing about that story smell right at all, but it also wouldn't surprise me that the CPS just overreacted or that things weren't communicated properly along the line. -goro- |

They are caught in a bind though in that when they take actions when people think they shouldn't, it's an "overreaction" and "beaurocratic nonsense". Of course when they lean towards the other side of things and don't take any action for a given situation and something happens, it's a huge deal as well. When in those same situations *had* they taken action, the same people would have been complaining about how they overreacted.......
