Damb U FedEx

My Dad sent me a package of DVDs yesterday. He's in Abq, I'm in
Phoenix. He sent them 2day, but sometimes since i'm only 1 state
away, they get here in 1 day. I check the online tracking.

it says.

Left Albq
Arrived Memphis
Left Memphis
....

Not all air shipments go to Memphis first, but secondly, it's
beside the point. What goro said about sometimes getting a 2-day
shipment in one day used to be the case. If FedEx wasn't particularly
busy, they'd deliver 2-day shipments a day early. I ship fairly
regularly, and I noticed maybe a year ago (don't remember exactly
when) some big cheese in FedEx obviously made a decision to stop doing
that. I noticed on the tracking reports that FedEx would deliberately
sit on my shipments and wait until the second day to deliver if it was
a 2-day shipment. I never got any more early deliveries.

So going to Memphis has nothing to do with it. I've even seen
them occasionally send a package from PHX to PHX via Memphis--it
doesn't matter, FedEx is perfectly capable of doing that in one day,
IF you pay for standard shipping instead of 2-day. No more free
lunches.

I'm pretty sure you don't know what your talking about. I use all shippers
and most our one of our customers. My office spends about 25 million a year
with fedex...Pray tell me you have a direct connect to Scats as I do?
