Default Bad Influence (New DC/Baltimore Coed Team)

Bad Influence (working name) is a new elite mixed club team launching
from the DC/Baltimore area. Organized by players from last year's top
three teams in the DC/Baltimore area, the team is looking for
talented, dedicated, and FUN men and women to join our roster. We will
be the premier team in the area, and expect to not only qualify for
Nationals, but to compete well on the national level. To complement
our awesome field skills, we intend to win the party at every
tournament we attend. Sound like a generic team description? It
probably is, but come to tryouts to see just what we have to offer!

As part of our recruitment process, we'll be organizing high-level
mixed pickup games, holding open tryouts, and taking tryout squads to
tournaments. The team will practice between one and three times a
week, with increasing frequency as the season progresses, and will
include full-team field practices, track workouts, and regional "pod"
practices. Practices and team workouts are considered mandatory. We
are using a method of full team practices and "pod" practices to
facilitate scheduling within a wide geographic area.

We are drawing players from Baltimore, DC, and the surrounding area,
so our tryout schedule will include optional pickup games and
mandatory tryouts in both cities. Our schedule is as follows:

4/12: Pickup in Baltimore, TBD (probably Catonsville) 11-2
4/13: Pickup in DC, Polo Fields (DC) 3-6
5/3: Open Tryout in Baltimore, TBD (probably Catonsville) 11-2
5/4: Open Tryout in DC, Polo Fields 3-6
5/11: Open Tryout, TBD (probably College Park) 2-6
5/17-5/18: Invite-Only Tryout Tournament - Bell Crack* (Philadelphia)
5/24-5/25: Invite-Only Tryout Tournament - Kudzu*
*We'd only ask that you make one of these (but if you're interested in
both, by all means...)
Week of 6/1: Weekday practice
6/7-6/8: Tournament - Easterns (Boston): First tournament as a team!

Anticipated tournaments:
Easterns (Boston) - June 7-8
Round Robin - TBD
Philly Invite - July 19-20
Chesapeake Open - August 16-17
ECC or Labor Day

Attendance at tryout events is important, and will definitely be taken
into consideration as we determine our final roster. However, we do
understand conflicts, so please let us know.

If you are interested in trying out, would like to get on our mailing
list, or would simply like more information, please contact
badinfluence.tryouts (at) gmail (dot) com.

Look forward to seeing you out on the fields!
Cathleen Hamel, Eric Hartge, John Boomgard, and Charlie Katie Mercer

This is a new team forming in the DC/Baltimore area. Players that
make the team will tryout and cuts will be made. We intend to draw
the best talent in the area regardless of the player's previous
team(s).
