Default go figure!

Today the KC Roayls, who opened the seaon by defeating the Detroit Tigers in
three straight of those ""all-important"" intra-division games, as of today,
are in last place in the division. Funny how that works, eh??

Alot of strange things seem to be happening this season.
Our starters are finding it hard to get wins. Mid relief
is crappy, now not so crappy. Who is going to be injured
next? They need to invent a batting suit made of kevlar.
Why buy a program, the players are always changing positions.
Seems like "Jimmy" is pulling names out of his hat before
every game. I'll be glad when all this instability levels
out, and I'm still not ready to say the "Royals" won't do
the same thing, when they meet again in May.

Runs Per Season:
31' Yankees (1,067)
99' Indians (1.009)
2008 Tigers (119)

Strange things often happen early in the season, which is why I was very
amused when I already heard ""experts"" going on and on about losing games
in the division when they lost the three to KC.

they do have to start winning some of these close, low scoring games. Can't
count on scoring 19 every night...

They did have plenty of opportunities to score,
and Irwin Santanna is not Johan Santanna. At
times the missed opportunities can be very
aggravating. The "Line Drives" to 1ST Base
really annoyed me.

Still Irwin is not a bad pitcher at all and this was a battle to the
end. Sheffiled's drive in the 7th(?) could have been the difference.
Guess he didn't eat his Wheaties.

Tigers came back strong on Saturday and Galarraga pitched very well
again although he didn't get the win. The middle relief is actually
keeping the team in games unlike earlier in the season. It's helped
to have Granderson and Polanco back in the line up as well.

Sunday should see Guillen return and Verlander on the mound against
ex-Tiger Weaver's brother Jared both 1-3. I see another big day for
Tiger hitters.

You forgot the "Tigers Sunday ESPN Curse". Although I fully
expected to see "Jimmys Sunday B Team Lineup" I was mildly
suprised he played the A Team. Perhaps he should have
reminded them they should be ready to play on Sunday too.
Oh wait, now I understand. They're off Monday.
Bet Inge, Thames, Raburn and Santiago were pizzed. Well
we're back in last place again and Sheffield's still pulling
the whole team down.

Runs Per Season:

99' Indians (1,009)
2008 Tigers (130)
