Tuesday's Win

Finally, the Pistons come out and play a solid game from start to
finish. We hadn't seen that since game #2. The defense was
spectacular and the shooting superb. They did let AI get off, but no
one else scored much for Philly.

And there, as I had suggested, was Aaron Affalo getting significant
minutes and contributing as well. He made a few defensive miscues,
but over all he played very well. Stuckey also had a good game.
Chaucey started things off by getting back in his groove and the 76ers
had no answer.

Need to see the boys do the same thing in Philly on Thursday. No
sense letting the Magic get too much more rest than the Pistons.

I'm worried that Prince missed 6 shots. If he continues to shoot only 57%,
the Pistons are in trouble.

But seriously, they did a very good job of defending the guards and keeping
Philly from driving to the basket, and that's something that's been
missing.

Also, Wallace is continuing to be very, very scary blocking shots (along
with Maxiell). I don't remember Detroit rejecting like this since the
championship run with Ben and Rasheed 4 years ago (seems like forever).

The rate of deterioration is especially alarming. In games 3 and 4,
Prince only missed one shot. In game 5, however, he missed six -- six
times as many. So in game 6, he'll probably miss 6 again, but then in
the next two games he'll miss 36 (six times six). -- Joe
