Default WHEW!

Cubs win, 7-6 in 10 innings. Of course, it's a road trip, so the Cubs are
good for at least 2 more extra inning affairs. Here's hoping no one had to
polish off all the Pepto Bismol in the house.

Cameron,

I'm ashamed to say that I fell asleep while they were down 5-3.

I think it's safe to say that they are on a roll. Everything seems to
be going their way. I keep waiting for it to end, and when it does
Baseball can be especially brutal at "even-ing things out"

However, I remember something similar in '05 with the White Sox. I
kept thinking that there is no way they can keep this up. They had
some incredible streak where they were behind in only 7 or 8 innings
out of the first 25 games or so. By the 60 game mark, I had to
begrudgingly admit that they had a shot at not only winning the
division, but a legit shot at 100 wins.

As much as I like them to win, I can't see how the Cubs pitching staff
could match what the White Sox had in 2005.

Oh sure, hindsight is 20/20. But during the early part of the 2005 season,
many of my friends who were White Sox fans were fretting over Contreras and
Garland. How could Politte keep this pace up. And who was the White Sox
closer during the early part of '05??
