It is my considered opinion based on years of observation, many rounds
of experience, knowledge of rules, many discussions with referees,
all, that the film does not provide clear enough detail to make any
determination as to whether the punch caused Lennox Lewis' glove to
touch the mat after a punch thrown by Henry Akinwande or whether the
slight push after the punch by Akinwande . . .

In other words: The referee didn't make the call; therefore, all else
is just conjecure.

Don't know but Lewis vs Mav should have been
"called" for Mav.

Its a weird one, but I thought it would have been called a knockdown.

The rules state that if the glove touches the canvas, it is a
knockdown. Akinwande's punch was to the top of Lewis's head which
made him duck down as it were. Miles Lane, the referee, was on that
side of the action. I guess he just didn't see it (glove touching
canvas). It was very quick. But since Akinwande lost by DQ anyway,
it is a moot point.
