“He’s a cheat,” Calzaghe said of Hopkins. “He took three minutes off
when I didn’t touch him and he needed a rest. Hopkins is just a spoiled little girl.” |

If he were such a brave man....He should have dispatched Hopkins quickly and decisively. Instead he won a pitty pat, shoeshine contest that will continue to haunt him and his supporters as a wannabee. FG |

He wasn't impressive and just sneaked a decision against an old man - great pedigree that he has though. He was telling all and sundry that if he lost he would never be seen again - hardly gentlemanly conduct. So he can forget all this self righteous "ambassador for the sport" rubbish - he was never particularly likable and was an unknown for so long because he fought rubbish and refused to fight abroad. One trip to the states and a narrow victory does not put up there in the hall of fame I'm afraid. Michalczewski would have kicked his arse. |

Name the last fighter who looked good against Hopkins, answer, NO ONE. Hopkins is a spoiler, and when he spoiled Calzaghe he also did nothing himself. Roy Jones when he was superman in 1993 didn't look good or dominate against him; Calzaghe's 116-111 was the biggest score on one card that Hopkins has ever lost by in his entire career. The two Jermaine Taylor fights were much closer than this Calzaghe bout. The only thing Hopkins did, as he has for years, was lead in with his head, throw one right hand, clinch and run away. Throwing 4 punches a round. He's pissed off most of the boxing audience wasting money on pay per view bore fests for years. What you posted, well, you know fuck all about Hopkins, Calzaghe or boxing in general. Typical and all too predictable from a bitter English limey, like you. |

Yeah, but Jones beat Hopkins 116-112 on all three cards, though I think 116-111 or 117-110 would have been good scores for Calzaghe-Hopkins. |

I do wonder if Joe had stepped into the ring against Hopkins a few years ago whether he would have been beaten handily - match making at its best is what we witnessed! Mr.Will |
