Default The Rose Award For 4-8-2008. <0767>

The Rose Award goes to Aubrey Huff of the Baltimore Orioles, who went
four-for-four with four RBI and scored one run in a 8-1 win over the
Texas Rangers.

Scott Moore and Luke Scott hit early home runs and the Orioles ruined
the Rangers' home opener by retaining the ALs best record with their
sixth straight victory.

"Hot damn! Another fifty bucks!" said Huff to reporters after the game.
When asked by reporters how long he felt their streak would last, Huff
said, "Well, this is baseball, teams have ups and downs and there is
certainly no guarantee that we can continue to play at this level, so I'm
sure there will be times this season where I'll even have to bet for
the other team."

It's amazing what the obsessive-compulsive paranoid personality can do.

Good grief? "Good grief" was banned from the internet five days
after the latter's official inception, by nobody less than Al Gore
himself.

How about "Gee whizz...?" Or "Great Scott!" or even "Darn it!"

Or, more to the point, how about the simple "bugger off?"

cordially, as always,
